SCHOOL DISTRICT OF ATHENS Special Board Meeting August 10, 2020, 6:00 p.m. Athens School District Administration will be sharing the proposed 2020-2021 Re-Entry Plan for all students to return to school on September 1, 2020. Effective (08/05/2020) - HIGH RISK LEVEL Wisconsin Department of Health Services and Marathon County Health Department announced a “HIGH RISK LEVEL” for COVID-19 in Marathon County. The School District of Athens will continue to keep buildings CLOSED (essential staff only) through August 16. Currently, updates will be provided to the Athens community every Thursday by 10 AM regarding the status of school buildings for the next week. Safety guidelines for entering schools will be posted at the Main Entrance of each building. PLEASE NOTE: We will OPEN the Athens Middle/High School from 11 AM to 6 PM on Tuesday, August 11 for the purpose of Registration Day only.

Effective (07/29/2020) - HIGH RISK LEVEL Wisconsin Department of Health Services and Marathon County Health Department announced a “HIGH RISK LEVEL” for COVID-19 in Marathon County.  The School District of Athens will continue to keep buildings CLOSED (essential staff only) through August 9.  Currently, updates will be provided to the Athens community every Thursday by 10 AM regarding the status of school buildings for the next week.  Safety guidelines for entering schools will be posted at the Main Entrance of each building.  PLEASE NOTE: If there is still a "HIGH RISK LEVEL" on August 5, we will OPEN the Athens Middle/High School from 11 AM to 6 PM on Tuesday, August 11 for the purpose of Registration Day only.

Athens High School Graduation Commencements for the Class of 2020 will be live streamed for your home viewing. El Distrito Escolar de Atenas continuará manteniendo los edificios CERRADOS (solo personal esencial) hasta el 2 de agosto. The Athens School District, in conjunction with Marathon County Special Education. is seeking a part-time, health aide to work in our elementary school. Past experience preferred but not required. Associate Degree or two years of college preferred. CNA license helpful but not required. Here it is! The first piece of Athens HS/MS history is up for bid! We will be auctioning off one specialty piece a week for the next few weeks! All money raised will be put towards our new gym floor.
