The first of seven Bedazzling Blue Jay Family Fun Nights is quickly approaching! Come to the Athens Elementary School (AES) Gym from 6:00 - 7:00pm on Monday, October 17, 2022 for our presentation on Effective Dinner Table Talk. It will be a delicious delight!

Mrs. Hartwig’s preschoolers have been learning about the letter Aa, apples, and all about the season of Fall.

Kindergarten students were using post-it notes to determine how many words were heard in spoken sentences. For example, they wisely placed four post-its on the table, complete with finger spaces in between them, for the sentence "My coat is warm." Then, when asked where the word coat was, they could point to the second post-it note. These beginner skills will lead to literacy greatness! The post-its also were a hit to decorate faces before heading to the recycle bin.
It's School Board Appreciation Week! Thank you to the dedicated team in Athens who help the district thrive. You are appreciated!

It is most ironic that today, on IT Professionals' Day, the copy machines at school had issues connecting to the server. Thank goodness for Mr. Brost and his team for speedily fixing issues like this!
