4th graders had a great learning experience from Representative Edming (and his service dog Corky). Representative Edming came to talk with the students about how a bill becomes a law. They even experienced what it would be like to try and get a bill passed in our classroom. They tried to pass a bill that would allow 4th graders to get their drivers license!!! Students that were in the Senate and House had great reasons why it should become a law, but sadly the “governor” vetoed the bill! They ended their time learning how to use a Wisconsin state map! Thank you Representative Edming for visiting AES.

Take a “Peep” at the awesome 4th graders using their teamwork and problem solving skills to build a Peep nest out of toothpicks and jelly beans to protect their Peeps from books!

4th graders traveled back in time to be pioneer students from the year 1904. They had a full day of learning arithmetic, penmanship, recitation, geography/history and spelling. They dressed the part wonderfully and even brought their pioneer lunch in tin pails. Thank you to Marathon County Historical Society for allowing us to visit the Little Red Schoolhouse and to our wonderful pioneer teacher, Ms. Moellendorf. Lastly, thank you to our YES group for funding our transportation. What a fun day of learning!
