Happy 2024! Just like that, school is back in session and we're ready to rock on through these winter months. Are you ready to guess a staff member? This educator spends time in all three buildings in the village of Athens. He or she is an Army veteran and has lived in Germany, South Carolina, Virginia, and Texas since graduating from Athens in 2006. Brenda Wilker is the AHS educator who enjoys crafting at her piece of paradise in the country. Thank you for playing the "Guess Who?" game in the first part of this school year. It will be game on next year again. (Get it? - January 2024?!) Until then, please do have a pleasantly memorable Christmas break!

4th graders in Ms. Kalepp’s class had to built and create a gingerbread house for the gingerbread man. Their families helped them be creative and make a unique house. Then the students had to write to the gingerbread man of how they made their house and what was all included in their house. We are waiting to see which house the gingerbread man decided to buy.

4th graders in Ms. Kalepp’s and Mrs. Luther’s class decided instead of exchanging gifts between each other, to gets gifts for animals in need. Most of us are animal lovers so we knew this was a purrr-fect fit! We hope your holiday season is filled with family and friends.

There is only time for one more "Guess Who?" in the year 2023. Who will it be? This AHS staff member enjoys crafting - specifically counted cross stitch and crochet. She also loves being at her home in the country. Is it: Michelle Murkowski, Becki Bliven, Brenda Wilker or Melissa David?

Beth Heier is the AES Blue Jay who has spent time in both Australia and Kentucky. You (yes, you reading this!) are getting really good at guessing the correct person!

Sheila Nevienski is the outdoorsy, Uno playing staff member in Blue Jay Country. Good job if you guessed her!
