Hopefully everyone had a yummy, family and friend-filled Thanksgiving break. It's time to put on thinking caps to guess a staff member who works at both AES and AMS. She was stuck in a different country for 2 weeks during Covid.

It's almost time for the next Blue Jay and Fox Family Fun Night! All AES, AMS, AHS and Maple Grove friends are invited to the AES gym on Monday, December 4th from 6-7pm. Please bring a cell phone, tablet or laptop along as tips on valuable screen time to enhance literacy skills for your child will be shared. All students who attend will go home with a pretty cool tech gadget to use...

It's time to guess another staff member. This educator works only at Athens High School and has kayaked the caves on Lake Superior. He or she also likes to paint pictures on feathers. Is it: Mary Nelson, Brenda Wilker, Sheila Nevienski, or Todd Diethelm?

4th graders enjoyed a day hiking and learning on the Ice Age Trail. They got to see different land formations made by the glaciers that moved through our land and also tried to imagine how thick the ice was. It was a great day enjoying nature, hiking and learning about our great state of Wisconsin.

The Maple Grove staff member who taught in Japan and Arizona is Emily Szutkowski.

It's American Education Week! Thank you to all teachers, paraprofessionals, custodians, kitchen staff, administrative team members, substitutes, board members and volunteers who make schools safe and equitable learning environments for children of all ages. Wednesday is especially set aside to honor the work of support staff. THANK YOU for your dedication!

The Maple Grover who lives in a shed/shouse and had a 19 state whirlwind adventure is Dana Blume.

4th graders in Ms. Kalepp’s class had to disguise a pumpkin for their writing this month. Students were each given a different color, size and shape pumpkin to take home and disguise with their family. They then had to write how they disguised their pumpkin for others to guess which was theirs at school. It was so fun to see each students (and families) creativity!!! How would you disguise a pumpkin? 🎃
