New snow means good clean fun!

Let’s go fishing! The Fish and Wildlife class has been working on constructing ice fishing poles. They had to find the spine of the rod, construct the handle, and thread the guides onto the pole. Constructing a fishing rod is a time consuming process, and some of the students had to learn patience.

Third graders and more presentations. These images come from our Japan presentation. We tried Sushi and used chop sticks. Some of us even tried chop sticks in our hair!

Third Grade Country Presentations were fun in our classroom. Some of us really enjoyed our Country and dressed up a bit.

Cambrea Sarasin, 8th grade, Ava Zettler, 8th grade, and Brock Beaty, 5th grade, will advance to the regional bee at Rib Lake in February! Our alternate is Makayla Schreiner! Ms. Schelling was the pronouncer with Mrs. Redmann and Mr. Hoffman as judges! Congratulations to all participants!

First Graders in Mrs. Luther’s classroom participated in a reading challenge over Christmas break. After filling up their hot chocolate cup with reading minutes they earned a cup of hot chocolate after recess today!!

Since staying up until midnight to welcome the new year is too late for kindergartners, students had a “Happy Noon Year” celebration to welcome the new year.

To Athens Almuni and Community Members, there is a slight change for the Pep-Band Alumni Night tomorrow:
Please join us for refreshments beforehand at 6:00pm in the cafeteria (with water to wash it down before you play 😉).
Hope to see you there!
- Mr. Puffer

"Snow" much fun at recess!

Members of the AHS Choir and faculty members perform at the Epiphany Tea hosted by St Anthony. It was much enjoyed by all.

Congratulations to The Athens Blue Jay Quiz Bowl Team. They have qualified for the national level of competition.
